The monthly meeting of the Grand Lake Rec Club was called to order by Treasurer, Mike Metz at Boardwalk, with approximately 18 members present. Treasurer, Mike Metz read the June minutes and read the Treasurer’s report:

GLRC balance: $26,563
Mobley balance: $4,040

News/ Information:

• Bicycle Poker Run: 303 riders. Brought $8,674, ($4,222) in expenses, raffle/supplies costs, and the shuttles that ran throughout the day, due to weather concerns. 100+ people participated by shuttle. Netting $4,447 profit for GLRC to use on projects.
• Boat has been out a few times this month for cleanup of big chick, prairie creek, and safety island. We also organized a joint sonar training with Bureau of criminal investigations, St Mary’s township fire, Celina fire, and ODNR. Rec club provided pizza for all.
• Keith and Brad are going to try and do a Facebook post each week highlighting projects and safety items.
• ODNR’s budget was flatlined now for two years, which is not good because wages and prices of everything has went up in last two years. Expect to see less mowing and maintenance in parks.
• We hope to have power poles installed this month.
• Lots of positive feedback on beach bash. Dean and Steve donated $200 back to the GLRC!
• LIA Barstool Open is August 9th
• Need for lighted buoy at Breezewood, per member
