The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held July 9th at Lakeside Hideout. Approximately  48 members present. President, Brad Fisher, brought the meeting to order. Vice President, Keith Seitz read the June minutes and Treasurer, Kim Swick, read the Treasurer’s report: current balance $17,880.15. Interesting fact, in just the past 2 years the GLRC has helped pass along over $50K to the lake for safety/rescue equipment!

• Thanks to the Obringers for allowing us to be part of their soft opening and have our meeting there. The place looks great, come check it out!
• Our July Beach Jam was rained out. Rosenbeck and Dean Axe ended up playing at Southshore Sportsman Club. Rosenbeck and Axe made a $100 donation to the GLRC.
• 7/12/23 GLRC and Mobley Foundation are meeting at the Township Fire Department to present a $3K check to each (St. Marys Township, Montezuma and Celina) Fire Department for safety equipment. Check the Evening Leader for the article.
• ODNR report: lake + .5 inches, full camp the past 7 weeks and a unanimous person donated $4K for trees for park
• The new floating ADA dock, in conjunction with the LIA will go in Friday morning, August 4th. Shinn Brothers will be donating installation and made a monetary donation. Come check out the installation!
• Logg Dogg: grapple, tow bar and magnet have now been installed.
• Lights: we continue to trim around the lights. New light has been ordered for the Oil Derrick (the last one lasted 8 years), GLRC will continue to monitor lights and trim around them.
• Trevor Mobley Foundation’s annual event this year:  9 hole scramble in the AM. Then 1-5/6ish will be at Celina Moose. Gun raffle, whiskey wheel, wine toss, live auction, silent auction and more. Money raised will go to fire departments for rescue.
• As always, we look forward to your ideas/project for the GLRC. Please let us know if you would like to volunteer to help on projects.

• Club drawing was for $140. Pamela Kuhbanda’s number was pulled: paid, not present. Next Club drawing is for $160.
