The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held at Shocker’s.  Vice President, Jason Plattner, brought the meeting to order and  read the October minutes.  Treasurer, Tom Scheib, read the Treasurer’s report; current balance of ~$4,655.74. Approximately 13 members present.

The next meeting will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 (quarterly meeting); 2:00 pm at the Sportsman’s Club.  This is our Annual Christmas Party.

• Dave Faler gave lake level at – 4 inches. One gate open 3 inches and draw-down will start when dredge is out.  Amount taken out from dredges this year was the second best number in history. He went over state campground numbers for the past five years; which have climbed each year.

• Oil derrick is out as of today. Discussed ways to try to build up where rocks area is collapsing.

• Log dog hasn’t been running smoothly; Jason will be contacting the marinas to get quotes on motors; this isn’t going to be a cost to the club.

• Membership letters will go out in January along with meeting magnets. Please make sure you look at dates for each meeting in 2020 as they are all not the second Sunday of each month due to Holidays.

• Annual Christmas Party: Everyone please bring family and friends out to enjoy the GLRC Holiday gathering. Provide a covered dish/dessert. Ham will be provided. Also anyone that wants to bring a gift to donate to raffle drawing may do so, however please only spend $20.

• Discussed many still not getting email with minutes; Renee will set-up through Yahoo and try that before we make the decision to pay for an account to make sure everyone will receive this information monthly. Also for 2020 we will send a flyer out for Christmas party and Summer picnic events to remind everyone!!

• Instead of corn roast next year we will have “Summer Picnic”, tentative date August 22, 2020.

• Election time is coming up; Dave will organize this for us as he did last time.

• Music at the beach for 2020-  Jason and Brad are still talking to some of the local establishments in regards this; we hope to have dates and times within the next couple months.

• Club drawing was for $70; Brian and Mindy Wilker name drawn (paid/not present). Next drawing for $80.00.
