March Meeting Minutes
Monthly Meeting of the Grand Lake Rec club was called to order by Vice President Keith Seitz at Buoy’s, with approximately 28 members present. Keith read February meeting minutes. Correction to February’s minutes: Mobley Foundation balance was $16K, not $14K. Treasurer’s report read by Treasurer, Kim Swick

News/ Information
- Shingleshack is sending a monetary donation to GLRC from their recent bowling tournament
- Speckman’s donated a dock for Safety Island. It is progressing well and should be done in the next few weeks. (Thanks for the County Line Boys and Luke R)
- Trevor Mobley Foundation want to help with lighting up the new entrance at the Moose so people can safely enter and exit the Moose
- Blue Beacon lights will be mounted on the reflective 5 gallon safety buckets and placed on each side of the entrance
- We will place a few more reflective buckets on the piers with red lights for safety purposes also
- Working with the State to put red illuminated balls around the oil derrick
- Elections will be held at our next quarterly meeting in June. Eric Doench has kindly agreed to run nominations this year. Look for email to come soon with instructions. Please take a minute to send a quick email with your suggestion for one, two or all Officer positions. Nominations are anonymous
- Bertke’s worked with Albert’s Sporting Goods to get an online shirt order site up for us, and it is live now! Please place your order before March 25th! You can get to the link on our website, or copy and paste the following in your browser: https://glrc24.itemorder.com/
shop/home/ [glrc24.itemorder.com] - Poker Run: it’s is time to start working on our plans. Think about how we want to handle prizes, 1 grand prize of a bike or electric bike? Or several smaller prizes? Keith will reach out to Borgers for pricing and possible donations
- Mobley’s are working out the details for their September fundraiser
- Log Dog back is now back in the water. Thanks to Mike Metz and Outdoorsman
- The motion for GLRC to join the Mercer County Chamber was unanimously passed
- Motion for the GLRC to sponsor 4 fish @ $50/ea for the Grand Lake Tagged Fish Frenzy was made by Della St. Johns, 2nd by Angie Metz, pass unanimously. Visit gltff.com for details
- Lake Cleanup is quickly approaching on April 20th. Meet at Rustic at 8AM for a quick breakfast, then head out to clean up the lake and beaches
