January 10, 2016 Minutes
The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held at Beachpoint. President, Brad Fisher, brought the meeting to order. President, Brad Fisher, read the Treasurer’s Report and December minutes. Approximately 11 members present.
The next meeting will be Sunday, February 14th, 2:00 at Shockers (bring your sweetie 😉
- Christmas meeting was a great success! First time in Club history we made money at a Christmas party. It was only $23.00, but due to the great turnout, we prospered!
- We have the 2016 dates finalized, except for one or two “TBD”. We discussed getting a magnet printed and distributed, so all have a handy reminder of Club meetings. Bob Swick made a motion to have the magnets made, with a $200 cap (including postage), Jeff Snellenberger 2nd the motion, it was unanimously passed. These will be made and mailed soon, please put on your fridge so you don’t miss a meeting.
- Brain reported that the lake was 1 inch below the notche, even though it was difficult to get a reading with all the wind.
- Dave, Tom and Tom are still working on the great bucket lights – thanks guys!
- As previously discussed, we would like to have a meeting with the bar owners on the Bicycle Poker Run route to discuss ideas on contests, additional events, etc. We will meet with them late February. We will discuss the results of this at the March meeting, please come and have your ideas ready.
- Club Drawing was for $10.00, Crista and Kevin Fanning’s name was drawn; not paid, not present. Next drawing it for $20.00!
2016 Dues are now due ($20.00 per family for the year)
