DREDGE PIPE
Dredging is a vital operation to keeping the lake going in right direction. The dredge crews had pipe damaged 12 times last year due to boats hitting them. Each hit requires a day of down time for dredge crew. Please be aware of the orange floating balls that mark these dredge pipes. Please trim up your engine and float over the pipe. Dredge crews try to keep pipe in idle/no wake zones (less than 300’ from shore). Due to logistics of where they are pumping to in some locations pipe might be out past 300’. Try to locate these during the day, in your areas of travel, to avoid hitting them at night. We are working on better ways to mark and pipe crossing areas visible at night.
NO WAKE ZONE
ODNR enforces no wake zone within 300’ of shore.
Have a SAFE and enjoyable boating season!
