The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held December 12th at Southshore Sportsman’s Club. Approximately 42 members present. President, Brad Fisher brought the meeting to order and gave the Treasurer’s report: $6,821.57 balance. Vice President, Keith Seitz read November minutes.
- As we reflected on the year, we remembered the important members of the Club we lost this year: Bill Place, Imogene Campbell, and Luke Ruane III.
- Also sick Club members: Rich Liess – in the hospital, but off the vent now and on his way to recovery. JR Oyer – had several medical issues this past year, but is back to work and doing better. Please keep up the prayers for them.
- Brad gave a very nice, detailed PowerPoint presentation of the year in review, click here to view (I had to delete many of the slides out, due to size, but will put on the website soon. Below are other notes in addition to the presentation.
- Magnets will be in in January. They didn’t come in on time, due to supply chain issues.
- Log Dog is out of the water and in the process of being stored at Outdoorsman to maintain motor warranty. Outdoorsman is donating the time to winterize for us (thank you!).
- Keith Seitz is heading up the Log Dog rework: floor needs stripped and replaced.
- We continue to work on the light project with the State and Mobley family. Their fundraiser went above and beyond in raising funds to make the lake safer, in hopes that another family doesn’t have to go through the same tragedy the Trevor Mobley Family did. Much progress is being made and Brad outlined the fine details.
