April 7, 2019 Minutes
The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held at Duckfoots. President, Brad Fisher, brought the meeting to order and Jason Plattner read the March minutes. Treasurer, Tom Scheib, read the Treasurer’s report; current balance of ~$4,458.36. Approximately 30 members present.
The next meeting will be Sunday, May 12th, 2:00 pm at It’s It. LOG DOG is in the water !!
- Six people showed up for ditch clean up; Thank you for all that came out!
- Earth Day, which coincides with the State Park’s annual Lake Clean up Day is April 20th.We understand this is Easter weekend, but hope you can still make it out to help. We will meet at Rustic at 7-730AM for breakfast, then will break into teams to start cleanup.
- The date for Corn Roast is still being discussed. Tentative date is August 24,2019.
- Beatty discussed Paint The Town and that our ad has started as of April. He addressed that we can add/change this each month to coincide with what GLRC has going on.
- Project at the second beach has started; you can find more information on LIA website.
- they would like us to add some bucket lights; we will look at this to see how many needed
- Went over the list that has been discussed with Bayview for the 2019 Poker Run (this is the 8th year) as well as finalizing what we want to have this year raffles versus 50/50 after motions made by a.
- This year we are doing a non-refundable pre registration at Bayview Pub from May 1- June 7.
- 50/50 (ticket prices will be 1 for $5 and 3 for
$10)
- Bike raffle- $300 for bike (Bob Swick motioned, Jerry seconded and all passed)
- Renee and Swicks going to reach out to local bike shops to join us for poker run and hopefully assist in cost of bike.
- Door prizes
- Cash payout for top 3 hands (1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50). Tom Gottschall motioned, Ryan Beatty seconded and all passed.
- Flyers will be ready in the next week
- Shirts being ordered again this year to be sold
- Send email to sign up to volunteer
- If any questions/concerns/ideas please email those as well.
- Log Dog is at Outdoorsman’s to have seals and lower unit done. Remember this is available to everyone to use at anytime.
- Club drawing was for $90.00, JR Oyer name was pulled, paid and present; he donated money back to club.
2019 Dues are now due ($20.00 per family for the year)
