Monthly Meeting of the Grand Lake Rec Club was called to order by President, Brad Fisher at It’s It, with approximately 29 members present. President, Brad Fisher read the September minutes, and Treasurer, Kim Swick read the Treasurer’s report:

News/ Information:
- Thank you to everyone that helped with ditch cleanup before this meeting.
- Still working on the new light for the Oil Derrick. It has been brought down for the season. Need for a small flashing light for winter.
Projects:
Planned:
- Eric Doench rebuilt the dock for Safety Island and it went out on 10/14/24. LIA funded $2500.
- Log Dog aluminum wench/lift: ~$2K
- Oil Derrick: 8 years ago we poured concrete and put out rock. More rock is needed and we will shoot to get it out next year: ~$3K
New:
- Sonar Unit, removable/quick attach: ~$9K: Brad working on getting updated quote/options
- Trevor Mobley Foundation is funding
- Owen Gau, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 360 in St. Marys, Ohio. Looking for funding for his Eagle Scout project to refurbish and service the public courtesy dock and the surrounding area at the St. Marys Boat Club.
- Amy Ruane made the motion to donate $500, Della St. Johns and Ryan Beatty seconded the motion. It passed unanimously.
Dave Faler, Park Update:
- Lake level: currently -9.5″, 26″ of rain for the year to date (normal for this time of year is 36″). Years of historical rainfall data were shared with the GLRC and we will work to get that on our website
- Campground: 22 weekends were full
- Fall Fest was very successful
- Halloween Campout was a great success as well, over 218 cars in the parking lot
- New lifejacket loner station at East Bank. More to go up at West Bank and Little Chick
- New informational kiosk up at campgrounds
- Treatment trains are going well. The one at Prairie Creek is deteriorating, this will be a big project coming soon.
- LIA and Auglaize board of DD are working on a grant from Ohio State Park Foundation to build a new playground at shelter house 1 (new playground, wood mulch, and adding a formally structured colorblind viewing station)
Club Drawing was for $160.00
