October 8, 2017 Minutes
The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held at Shingleshack. President, Brad Fisher, brought the meeting to order. Tom Scheib read the Treasurer’s report; current balance of $4,815.45. Approximately 14 members present.
The next meeting will be Sunday, November 12th, 2:00 at Eagles
- Longtime member, founder and former President, Tom Gottschall, had a bad fall a few weeks ago. He has been in and out of the hospital and is currently undergoing physical rehab, please keep him in your prayers.
- Tom Scheib is heading up the stump removal for the State again this year. With his trusty partner, Tom G recovering, he is in need of help from the Club. Please email me or text Brad if you are able to help Tuesday, Friday or Saturday marking and/or removing stumps.
- We are still looking for ways to improve the website, please email me your ideas and pictures for the website.
- We purchased 15 batteries for safety lights on the lake.
- The GLRC water stop for the Grand Lake Marathon went great again this year. Club members handed out water and bananas to the runners. Many “thanks” were received. We will continue to participate in this event.
- We will be bringing the Oil Derrick Replica in for the winter very soon. We want to bring this in before duck hunting season starts on the 28th.
- We are still working on the plaque for the Oil Derrick Replica that lists all the people that contributed.
- Club drawing was for $60.00, Dick and Donna Mosier’s number was pulled; paid, not present. Next drawing will be for $70.00.
