Monthly Meeting of the Grand Lake Rec Club was called to order by President, Brad Fisher at Shingleshack, with approximately 23 members present. Vice President, Keith Seitz read the October minutes, and Treasurer, Kim Swick read the Treasurer’s report:
Club balance: $22,478.24
Mobley Foundation: $9,774.57
News/ Information:
- The shirt order has closed and order is place
- A few Rec Club members went out last week to remove the buoys, floating dock at Safety Island and the oil derrick
- Light for the oil derrick that was purchased and received awhile back is still broken. Brad is working with the company on a solution
- City of Celina has some floating docks they would like to donate to us. Please think of where you might like to see these on the lake (we will need to get State approval)
- Brad is going to speak on behalf of the GLRC at the Southshore Sportsmans Club’s December meeting
- New magnets have been ordered and should be ready for the Christmas meeting. Structure changed slightly. There will be more structured meetings, social meetings are marked as such
- Gifts need purchased for the Christmas meeting, please let us know if you can help (GLRC pays)

- Log Dog aluminum wench/lift: ~$2K.
New:
- Sonar Unit, removable/quick attach: Brad received new quote, significantly less than the original $9K expected. $5,405.00 installed. Freedom Outdoors will train us on how to use.
- Trevor Mobley Foundation is funding
- Oil Derrick: 8 years ago we poured concrete and put out rock. More rock is needed. Quote received from Weber Materials: 300 ton of rock at $12/ton = $3,600
- Eric Doench made the motion to proceed, Don Davis seconded the motion. It passed unanimously.
- Log Dog improvements/upgrades needed: redo top/aluminum structure, console/seating, close in for weather, wench, etc
- Eric Stachler will fund with the remaining balance from Trevor Mobley Foundation, ~$4,200
Club Drawing was for $80.00 (Della and Dewayne St. Johns donated $60 to the drawing from their win at the October meeting)
