May 14, 2017 Minutes
The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held at Sunnyside. President, Brad Fisher, brought the meeting to order and read the April minutes. Tom Scheib read the Treasurer’s report; current balance of $3,715.03 Approximately 22 members present.
The next meeting will be Sunday, June 11th, 2:00 at Bayview.
- We currently have 102 paid families and 13 businesses – we finally broke the 100 mark for the first time in a long time!
- Renee is going to send another round of letters to past members this week.
- Brad and friends went out on the GLRC boat this past weekend to clean up Prairie Creek. Also, the Log Dog got a new top last weekend.
- A new prop was needed for the Log Dog. Pemberton Lincoln very generously offered to pay for the new prop. When Tom went to pick it up from Bayview, Buzz Goodwin said he would just donate it! If you see Buzz, make sure you tell him how much we appreciate it. A formal letter will be sent on behalf of the club.
- Out biggest fund raiser is coming soon, the GLRC Bicycle Poker Run on June 10th.
- The LIA Color Run is coming up, if you can work a table on behalf of the GLRC, please email me and I will pass your information on.
- May 20th are free boat inspections at the park.
- June 2, 3, and 4th is the “Get the Carp Outta Here Tournament”
- Annual Officer nominations will be at the July meeting. Annual elections will be at the August meeting. If you think this is something you want to do, again email me or just let a current Officer know at the July meeting.
- Club Drawing was for $10.00, Bill Place’s name was drawn, paid, not present. Next drawing it for $20.00.
- Important dates coming up:
June 3rd: Fireman’s Golf Outing @ 1:00 Northmoor Country Club
June 10th: Bicycle Poker Run
June 11th: 2:00 meeting at Bayview
June 17th: Hog Roast at Bass Landing
2017 Dues are now due ($20.00 per family for the year)
