The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held on July 11th at the Sunnyside. Approximately 12 members present. President Brad Fisher brought the meeting to order, and read the June minutes. Tom Scheib gave the Treasurer’s report. Previous balance was $4,936.90, and we have a new balance of $9,942. (Bicycle Poker Run brought in $4,618)
- We recently lost two long-time members of the Rec Club. They go all the way back to the late 70’s/early 80’s when we were a snowmobile club named the “Grand Lake Snowdreamers.” They will be dearly missed.
- Major G Bill Place: 87, passed June 17th.
- The Family requested that memorial donations be made to GLRC, so far we have received $600 in Bill’s memory
- Imogene Campbell: 86, passed July 5th
- Major G Bill Place: 87, passed June 17th.
- The first Beach Jams went well, no complaints. Roping off the stage section worked very well, appreciate all that helped with that. Axe and Rosenbeck donated $200 back to GLRC, for use of the boat
- Next bands are:
- July 31st Rosenbeck and Friends
- August 28th Jeff & Kennedy (acoustic band)
- Continuing to work with LIA on the LED channel signs.
- Also, discussing light options for the Trevor Mobley, Light up the Lake Memorial contributions.

- Rod Brandt donated his time to help working on the Oil Derrick
- next year we need to come up with a plan to fix the Oil Derrick location on the lake, it has begun to slide down. More rock and concrete is needed.
- Lake Quality is below the threshold and good. For the first time in 10 years, the signs have come down
- please see the report from Dave Faler click here
- also, check out the LIA meeting from July 10th, it was very informative and easy to follow.
Next meeting is 2PM, August, 8th at Behms (Ditch Cleanup at noon, Sportsman’s Club)
- There will be a band at Behms at the time of our meeting, so it will not be the structured meeting we normally have. Instead this will be a casual gathering to hang out with GLRC, enjoy the band together and support a local establishment. Hope to see you there!
Club drawing was for $120. Robert Delaet’s number 28 was pulled (yes, again, that has never happened), not paid, not present. Next drawing is for $130!
2021 Dues are now due ($20.00 per family for the year)
(Thank You if you have paid your dues)
