The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held at Sunnyside. President, Brad Fisher, brought the meeting to order and read the Treasurer’s report; current balance of ~$5,500. Approximately 22 members present.
The next meeting will be Sunday, August 9th, 2:00 at Behm’s, ditch cleanup starting at noon at Sportsman’s Club
- Our club boat, the Logg Dogg, is running great! Feel free to use at any time.
- GLRC had a lake cleanup last month, since we were not able to have the annual Earth Day clean up this year. Thanks to the 5-6 people that showed up to help. The beach looks amazing! Make sure to get out there and check it out, and help us keep it looking fantastic!
- The first Beach Jams went well. A guess of 225-250 boats were at the beach to enjoy the band. Axe/Rosenbeck donated $310 to the club, thanks guys! We have already had several other, new bands approach us to see if they can play next year. Jonah King will be out there this Saturday (7-18-2020), from 1-3PM. Please enjoy responsibly as usual.
- Rescheduling of the Bicycle Poker Run for 8-22-2020:
- Due to the latest on COVID and state regulations, we will make a decision on this by the end of July. Stay tuned.
- We are still working on getting the sonar unit for the dredge workers to mark stumps for removal. This will this be a great tool for keeping the water/our boats safe from the stumps. Half of the cost was paid by a unanimous donor, thank you so much generous person!!
