July 12, 2015 Minutes

The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held at Celina Eagles. President, Brad

Fisher brought the meeting to order. President, Brad Fisher read the Treasurer’s Report and

June minutes. Approximately 10 members present (many on vacation).

The next meeting will be Sunday, August 14th, 2:00 at Duckfoot’s (Ditch Clean Up at noon,

 Beachpoint and other bars would like to do something special for our future

Bicycle Poker Runs (themes, best dressed, etc) let us know your ideas

 looking to get 500 riders next year (had 300 last year).

 The GLRC Hog Roast had a good turnout this year, but down a little. There were about

45 present, but there were a lot of other local activities going on (LIA, Zuma-days, etc).

Thanks to all who attended, was great food and a great time!

 The GLRC flag for the boat was getting a little ragged. JR Oyer took it back to “The Sign

Guys” where he got it. They replaced it with a better quality one for free, thanks Sign

 the GLRC boat has been very well utilized in cleaning up the lake in the short

time we have had it. However, it may have a bad starter, VP Jason Plattner is

going to take a look at it. Other than that, the new Club boat has been great!

 August 22nd is the GLRC Corn Roast. Cooking starts at noon/1:00, Ed Waldman will be

cooking again. This is a great time, not to be missed! Bring a covered dish and come on

 Brian Miller has recently been promoted to Regional Manager of Ohio State Parks, he is

in charge of 19 lakes. Brad has met with the new Park manager, asking for suggestions

on how the Grand Lake Recreation Club can help the area. Please email us if you have

ideas on how to improve the safety and quality of the Grand Lake area.

 August 29th is the GLRC Golf Outing, Brad has put out fliers to local businesses.

 We have ordered a new batch of GLRC t-shirts. These will be available at the Rec Club

Golf Outing and the Corn Roast. Also, we purchased 500 new coolie cups for giveaways

 If you have pictures from the GLRC Bicycle Poker Run, or any of our other events, please

2015 Dues are now due ($20.00 a family for the year, pay now and 2016 is included!)
