The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held August 14th at Behms. Approximately 26 members present. President, Brad Fisher brought the meeting to order. Treasurer, Kim Swick gave the Treasurer’s Report. Current balance $12,507.06.

  • The GLRC received donations for $375 in memory of the late Vic Albers. 
  • Please keep member, Bob Swick in your thoughts as prayers as he is recovering from brain surgery.
  • More green channel signs will be put up this fall.
  • The Moose, Vosslers, and Myers are organizing a plan to build the Oil Derrick back up again this winter. 
  • August 27th is the last Beach Jam for the year. Going forward, the GLRC will only hold one Beach Jam on July 4th weekend. We were successful in bringing people back to the beach with Beach Jams, now to go back to putting our efforts into what we stand for, safety. When out at the beach please do not sink cans and bottles. If you see one, please dispose of it properly and if you see someone doing it, please ask them not to.
  • Log Dog is still up and running, let us know if you need it for one of your projects.
  • New Rec Club shirt are in, we will bring them to the next meetings for purchase: hoodies $25, t-shirts & tanks: $15.  Thank you again LJ & Lisa Bertke and Meredith Speckman for handling this for us.
  • Mobley Fundraiser is September 17th at the Moose, please come out for this wonderful event.
  • Mobley Light Project: 10 light up buoys are out and getting good feedback:
    • Rustic
    • Harmon’s Landing
    • Little Chickasaw
    • Big Chickasaw
    • Montezuma Bay
    • Sportsman Club
    • State Campgrounds
    • East Bank Marina
    • Harbor Point
    • Pier marker by East Bank
Next meeting is 2PM, September 11th at Eagles (Quarterly Meeting)
  • Club drawing was for $50. Mike Kleinhenz’s name was pulled: paid, not present. Next Club drawing is for $60. 
   2022 Dues are now due ($20.00 per family for the year)
