The meeting of the Grand Lake Recreation Club was held August 8th at Behm’s. Approximately 16 members present. President Brad Fisher brought the meeting to order, and Vice President Keith Seitz read the July minutes. Tom Scheib gave the Treasurer’s report. Previous balance was $9,942.24, and we have a new balance of $10,462.08. $700 donated in memory of passed club member, Major George (Bill) Place. 

• 7 people helped in ditch cleanup, 3 bags of trash collected on 219
• Beach Jam went well, thank you Rosenbeck for the donation back to the Club
• August 28th Jeff & Kennedy from 1-3PM, last Beach Jam of the year
• We are going to get dates and magnets for next year printed asap, so local establishments can plan accordingly
• Channel signs and lights are in process of being maintained. Working with the LIA; they are supplying the funding, we are supplying the manpower. Possibly move the Little Chick sign to land? We will take pictures and put on the website for all to see the progress. Tom and Dave took a night cruise to see which lights need attention, also where more could be used. Thoughts of getting lights up higher, out of the weeks and vegetation. We currently have 21 big lights and 15 bucket lights. 4+ of the small and 7+ of the big lights need fixed or added. Brad Fisher made the motion to allocate $2,500 to this purpose, Angie Leis seconded, it pass unanimously
• September 11th is the memorial for Trevor Mobley at Coldwater VFW Shelter House. All net proceeds go to lighting up the lake in Trevor’s memory to make it safer for all. Please mark your calendars! 

• Club drawing was for $130. Linda Rhode’s number was pulled, paid, not present. Next drawing is for $140!
